Why this one is different
You have been to the beige-carpet Christmas party. Fluorescent lights, a projector screen nobody looks at, and everyone checking their phone for the Uber surge by nine.
The difference here is the address. You are on the marina, the sun is going down over the Indian Ocean, and the team who run functions here do it every week of the year. Your job is to pick a date and turn up.
The Marina Hotel is on site. That changes the whole night.

Spaces for your Christmas party
Across our three venues there are semi-private areas you can reserve for a group, from a raised corner of the pub to a whole poolside deck. Here is where end-of-year groups tend to land.
Waterfront pubReserve The Fireplace or the Beer Garden Deck, raised semi-private areas in our iconic waterfront pub. Canapés, share platters and Party Starter packages, right by the marina. The easy, relaxed option for a team that just wants a good night out.
Groups of 25 to 100
Brewery & cocktailsBook the Upper Lounge, Alfresco or Side Beer Garden, with award-winning beers brewed on site since 2005. Unlimited pizza packages, seated set menus or a cocktail on arrival. Combine all three areas and you have room for 120.
Groups of 20 to 120
Poolside & GreekGreek-inspired and poolside, with private cabanas, the Pool Deck and the Alcove. Share boards, a resort-style atmosphere and a December sunset. Take a semi-private corner, or hire the whole venue exclusively.
Groups of 20 to 250Food & drink packages
A Perth Christmas is a hot one. The menus here are built for it: seafood, share boards, cold beer brewed on site and cocktails by the pool.

Canapé packages from a minimum of 25 guests, substantial items at $13 each, and share platters from $50. Grazing all night, no seating plan required.

A reserved space with platters ready an hour in. $500 for up to 25 or $800 for up to 40 at The Boat; $600 and $950 at the brewery, both including a bar tab.
Pizza from $27pp
Unlimited pizza for two hours at $27pp, or $32pp off the full menu. Prefer everyone seated? Two courses at $52pp, three at $72pp.
Cocktail on arrival $18pp
West Australian wines, Indian Ocean beers on tap, seasonal cocktails and bar tabs you set the limit on. Keeps the budget predictable.

Plenty of teams pair the Christmas party with the last planning day of the year. Run the session in a boardroom with marina views, break for lunch at the brewery, then walk downstairs to the party.
How it comes together
No spreadsheets, no chasing quotes for a fortnight. Tell the team what you are picturing and they handle the rest.
Your preferred date, rough head count and the kind of night you want. December fills up from winter onwards, so earlier is better.
The right space, a menu and drinks package to suit the budget, and a written quote. A $250 deposit locks the date in, and it comes off your final bill.
Confirm numbers 14 days out and that is your last job. Head upstairs to the hotel afterwards and let someone else clear the tables.
Good to know
As early as you can. December Fridays and Saturdays are the first to go, and some dates are held for live venue entertainment. If your date matters more than the space, send it through now and we will tell you honestly what is still open.
From a team of 20 up to 250 for an exclusive hire of Taverna. The Boat suits 25 to 100, the brewery 20 to 120 across its combined areas. Tell us your numbers and we will point you to the space that fits best.
Most of our areas are semi-private, which means a reserved space for your group within a venue that is still open and buzzing. If you want the venue entirely to yourselves, Taverna can be hired exclusively. Exclusive hire may be subject to an additional deposit.
A $250 deposit, payable within seven days of your invoice, and it is deducted from your minimum spend rather than added on top. Final numbers are confirmed 14 days before, with the balance due seven days out.
Standard function bookings run for four hours. If you want longer, say so when you enquire and the functions team will work it into your quote.
Celebration cakes are welcome and there is no cakeage fee, we will supply the plates and cutlery. One thing to know upfront: balloons and confetti are not permitted in any format. We sit right on the marina and the Indian Ocean, so we have a strict environmental policy about anything that can blow into the water.
They can, and at a Christmas party that is the whole point. The Marina Hotel is on site with suites overlooking the water, so nobody needs to drive home or wait on a rideshare back to Perth. Ask us about rooms when you enquire.
Around 30 minutes north of the Perth CBD, right on the water at Mindarie. Easy for a whole team to reach, and far enough that it feels like a proper occasion rather than the pub near the office.
