Engagements

Say it properly. A poolside deck at Taverna or the brewery Upper Lounge with a private bar, share boards and a cocktail on arrival.

Why this one is different

Nobody remembers a function room

Beige carpet, fluorescent lights, a room that could be anywhere in Perth. Guests turn up because they have to, and start checking the rideshare surge by nine.

The difference here is the address. You are on the marina with the sun going down over the Indian Ocean, and the team who run functions here do it every week of the year, seven days a week. Your job is to pick a date and turn up.

The part most venues cannot offer

The Marina Hotel is on site. That changes the whole event.

  • Everyone can actually have a drink, because nobody is the designated driver
  • No late scramble for a rideshare back to the northern suburbs
  • Interstate and regional guests stay where the event is
  • Run a conference by day, then celebrate downstairs that night

Thirteen function spaces across the marina, from a raised corner of the pub to a whole poolside deck to a boardroom with water views. All available seven days, subject to availability.

The Fireplace, Half Fireplace or Beer Garden Deck, raised semi-private areas in our iconic waterfront pub. Canapés, share platters and Party Starter packages, right by the marina.

Indian Ocean Brewing Co

Upper Lounge, Alfresco or Side Beer Garden, with beers brewed on site since 2005. Unlimited pizza packages, seated set menus and a private bar. Combine all three areas for 120.

Taverna

Greek-inspired and poolside, with four private cabanas, the Pool Deck and the Alcove. Take a semi-private corner, or hire the whole venue exclusively with its own bar.

Coastal menus across four kitchens: canapés and seafood platters at The Boat, pizza and set menus at the brewery, Greek share boards at Taverna, delegate catering at the hotel.

 

Canapés & platters

$25pp for 4, $32pp for 6

Canapé packages from a minimum of 25 guests, substantial items at $13 each, and share platters and boards from $50. Grazing all night, no seating plan required.

 

Party Starter packages

From $500

A reserved space with platters ready an hour in. $500 for up to 25 or $800 for up to 40 at The Boat; $600 and $950 at the brewery, both including a bar tab.

 

Pizza & set menus

Pizza from $25pp

Unlimited pizza for two hours at $25pp, or $30pp off the full menu. Prefer everyone seated? Two courses at $49pp, three at $69pp.

 

Drinks & bar tabs

Cocktail on arrival $18pp

West Australian wines, Indian Ocean beers on tap, seasonal cocktails and bar tabs you set the limit on. Keeps the budget predictable.

Dietaries and allergies catered, just tell us when you book. December bookings fall under Christmas package pricing.

Meet by day, celebrate by night

The Marina Hotel boardrooms are built for business: marina views, everything set up before you arrive, and a lunch break at the brewery downstairs. Pair a planning day with a team dinner and the whole thing happens at one address.

  • The Marina Room seats 30 theatre, 20 classroom, 18 boardroom or 16 U-shape
  • Sunset Rooms 1 and 2 for smaller sessions of 8
  • Flipchart, whiteboard, TV with ClickShare, lectern, power boards and wifi included
  • Delegate packages include a tea and coffee station, morning and afternoon tea, and express lunch at the brewery
  • Suites upstairs, so interstate delegates stay on site

How it comes together

Send your date

Your preferred date, rough head count and the kind of event you are picturing. Meet the events team over a coffee if you would rather talk it through.

We tailor the details

The right space, a menu and drinks package to suit the budget, and a written quote. A $250 deposit locks the date in, and it comes off your final bill.

03

You turn up

Confirm final numbers 14 days out and that is your last job. Head upstairs to the hotel afterwards and let someone else clear the tables.

Engagements, corporate events and conferences, hens parties, birthdays, work drinks, end-of-year celebrations, reunions and most things in between. Four venues means the space flexes to the occasion rather than the other way around. Tell us what you are planning and we will match it to a space.

From a boardroom of 8 up to 250 for an exclusive hire of Taverna. The Boat suits 25 to 100, the brewery 20 to 120 across its combined areas, and the Marina Room takes up to 30 theatre style. Tell us your numbers and we will point you to the space that fits best.

All four venues take function bookings seven days a week, subject to availability. Some dates at The Boat and the brewery are reserved for live venue entertainment, so send your preferred date through and we will confirm what is open.

Most of our areas are semi-private, which means a reserved space for your group within a venue that is still open and buzzing. If you want the venue entirely to yourselves, Taverna can be hired exclusively. Exclusive hire may be subject to an additional deposit.

A $250 deposit, payable within seven days of your invoice, and it is deducted from your minimum spend rather than added on top. Final numbers are confirmed 14 days before, with the balance due seven days out.

Standard function bookings run for four hours. If you want longer, say so when you enquire and the functions team will work it into your quote.

Celebration cakes are welcome and there is no cakeage fee, we will supply the plates and cutlery. One thing to know upfront: balloons and confetti are not permitted in any format. We sit right on the marina and the Indian Ocean, so we have a strict environmental policy about anything that can blow into the water.

They can. The Marina Hotel is on site with suites overlooking the water, so nobody needs to drive home or wait on a rideshare back to Perth. Reception is open seven days from 8am to 6pm. Ask us about rooms and corporate rates when you enquire.

Around 30 minutes north of the Perth CBD, right on the water at Mindarie. Easy for a whole group to reach, and far enough that it feels like a proper occasion rather than the pub near the office.
